Romano’s In the News: A Brush with Fame
We’re not ones to brag, but we’ve had a few brushes with fame. It started when President Clinton’s Secret Service grabbed Strombolis for Air Force One, followed by Jerry Lewis pulling up in his limo. Add in some TV appearances, and we thought we’d had our fill of the spotlight—until Herr’s Foods came calling.
Romano’s was one of 1,000 entries in Herr’s Flavored by Philly contest, and we were chosen as one of the top three finalists! The prize? Our Special Hot Stromboli flavor became a chip, sold nationwide in WaWa and local stores. And, we won!
Being a finalist was incredible, but taking home the win? Wow. We’re so proud to share the legacy of our founder, Nazzareno Romano, who introduced the Stromboli back in 1950. What a way to celebrate where it all began!
